Zz Top Cheap Sunglasses

Why did ZZ Top sing about “Cheap Sunglasses“? Why not call them something like “sweet sunglasses”?
Are “rhinestone shades” much more expensive?
Cheap sunglasses implies something about the person – that they’re not rich and therefore more likely to be impressed by a weird guy in a beard. Rhinestones are basically fake crystals (like Country singers have on their coats). Implies trailer-trash-ness and possibly an easy lay.
