Clear Lens Sunglasses
Can my local Glasses store put prescription into my glasses?
I bought a pair of glasses from hot topic and I was wondering if the local glasses store could put my prescription in it?

You would have to take them in and ask them if they would try to do it. these are not made of optical quality plastic and are not intended forthe lenses to be changed. To do that, we would have to heat up the frame to take the existing lenses out and then cut the lenses to match, then heat up the frame again to re insert the Rx lenses. The non optical quality plastics can do a lot of weird things when heated. they can crack or shrink or burn. Those things would ruin your frame. Another thing is that the frame needs to have the correct kind of bezel to hold the bevel of the lens so that the lenses will stay in place. some of the frames like this are made just to hold that non RX lens that they put in there and not made to hold a lens that is made with a prescription. So, in my store i would explain this to you and kindly tell you that i wouldnot do it. There are shops out there that will try anything to make a buck. It might work, it might not. Most likely it won’t.
